Wilson County (TN) School Watch

Duct-Tape on a student’s mouth in Wilson County.

Filed under: General Issues, Legal Issues — Wilson County School Watch @ 2:02 pm

So we’re talking to some friends at Church last night, and learned something very disturbing about a local K-8 school. A substitute teacher at this school north of Lebanon used some duct tape to silence a child in a class. The sub was supposedly suspended, but due to a lack of subs that will come out to the school, she has been reinstated by the principal.

Being a little bit in disbelief, I double checked with a teacher friend, and it was confirmed.

I guess good-old-boy/girl politics kept this out of the news. At the very least the sub should be banned from the school system. The principal should be held accountable.

Pathetic that nothing has been done, and this was covered up by the school board.

The family and teacher also shared some other alarming things about the same school which I will address in future posts after doing some double-checking.
