Teacher Turnover in Wilson County

Let’s have an article written by the local papers about the amount of teacher turnover at the local schools.  Request the number of transfer requests per school, how many were granted, and how many left of their own accord.  Break it down by school and see if there was a disproportionate amount coming from schools where Hall installed his cronies in the Spring of 2007.

Why this interest?  According to one teacher, the turnover in the system has been very high, much more than normal.  Apparently the number of teachers at Lebanon “FIght Club” High School who requested a transfer or just left altogether was high.  One student reports that he does not recognize the majority of names on his class schedule.

This may be an urban myth going around teachers and students, or it may be fact.  Investigative reporting is needed to separate truth from fiction.

If the turnover issue is true, I’m sure Hall and his puppy Davis, will say that the Principals are getting rid of poor teachers, ignoring the fact that LHS has disintegrated into an inner city school with it’s fighting and lack of discipline this past year.

Sidebar – A new $60 MILLION LHS will not solve the Fight Club problem.  A new Principal, Director, and Assistant Director is needed to take back the school from the punks.

One fact is parents are pulling their kids out of middle schools now, to get away from the lack of discipline in those schools with the added benefit of avoiding LHS in a few years.  At least two left Carroll-Oakland this year according to our parent sources.

From discussions I’ve had with teachers, I do know that morale among teachers at LHS and other schools where Hall put his cronies is low.

I voted early this year, and voted against the incumbent on the School Board.  The incumbent has become a puppet to the internal political machine led by Hall, and I want someone in there who will do what is best for the children, not become part of a political machine grabbing personal power.
